The Team Isle of Man concept is unique to the Island and to Motorsport.

It has been set up as a vehicle to encourage businesses to promote the Isle of Man in all its forms, its trade, tourism and industry, for the next two years, through the medium of Port Soderick resident Alex Lloyd's high-profile motorsport campaign.

In 2004 and 2005, Alex will contest the British Formula Three championship - the stepping stone to Formula One. He will contest it in what will become known as "the Isle of Man car".
