Alex Lloyd has been spotted by the BRDC Rising Star Young Driver Development Committee, as someone who justifies support to allow his initiative to be progressed and hopefully his skills to flourish to the level that would allow him to become a professional racing driver. His skills have been well recognised and his potential enthusiastically encouraged. It is a first-class opportunity for any community to support young developing talent in sport, as it is a wonderful way of projecting the location and the culture of any society. For example, Brazil has been extremely powerful at doing this successfully and has been well recognised on a global basis. The Isle of Man could gain considerably by supporting young sportsmen and sportswomen, such as Alex Lloyd. I wish all concerned every success in the venture to try and bring success and recognition to this young drivers’ career.
